My version of a childhood favorite, Shepard’s Pie.
My mom made this dish when I was younger, well and still to this day. She would make it with mash potatoes, beef, cream of mushroom soup, cheese and green beans.
I wanted to make this dish but didn’t have certain ingredients so I just made it my own and here it is.
Brown Rice
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Ground Turkey
Cheese
That’s it. Don’t let it fool you, it’s packed with MEGA flavor.
Directions:
Cook your Rice, brown your Turkey and heat up your Soup.
In a baking dish put a thin layer of soup on the bottom, this helps so it doesn’t stick to the bottom. Put Brown Rice in the dish. I mix my Turkey in with my Cream of Mushroom Soup and pour over Rice. Then take your favorite kind of cheese or cheeses and sprinkle as much as you like. Put in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until your cheese is melted and starting to brown. Let cool, serve and enjoy
